Do you sing on karaoke tracks? We don’t want a live band or orchestra.

A Baithak is not a band or orchestra performance, and Devanjalee does not need a large ensemble. The format can remain intimate with 2–4 live musicians, depending on the event. The focus is on live music, interaction and the connection between the artist and audience rather than karaoke-style singing.

Can you sing when guests are arriving or dining?

The Baithak is designed as a listening experience rather than background entertainment, so we recommend beginning once guests are seated and ready to engage with the music. Light background music can be arranged separately during guest arrival if needed.

Do you bring your own sound system?

Professional sound support can be arranged when required. We can also assess the venue’s existing sound system in advance and recommend the best setup for the performance.

Our events have other performances. How can a Baithak fit into the schedule?

A Baithak typically needs a dedicated 60–90 minute window when guests are seated and able to listen attentively. This can absolutely be scheduled between your other performances or program segments.

What is important is that once the Baithak begins, it runs as a continuous musical experience. We therefore ask that it not be paused or interrupted for another guest performance, dance segment or spontaneous program change.

Can you provide some music for our guests to dance?

The format is designed for seated audiences to listen, sing along, make requests and connect with the music. Livelier Bollywood songs can be included, but if the main focus of your event is a continuous dance floor, a DJ or local band may be a better fit.
