An evening could unfold through music, storytelling, shayari, and conversation, accompanied by traditional instruments such as tabla and harmonium. It was an intimate, immersive experience that allowed the audience to connect with both the artist and the music.

Over time, the way we experience live music has changed. At many modern events, music has become part of the background. In the process, the culture of sitting together and experiencing music as a shared experience is slowly disappearing.

Baithak brings the focus back to listening. It draws from a time when music was not simply something added to an event—it was an important part of the gathering itself. The format is intimate and unhurried, allowing the artist, the musicians, and the audience to share the same space and connect through the music.
